These terms cover your use of PlayIt. By playing, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
The service
PlayIt is a free multiplayer games hub. You can play as a guest or create an account. We may add, change or remove games and features.
Your account
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself.
- One person per account. Do not impersonate anyone else.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. PlayIt is not intended for children under 13.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.
Behaving reasonably
While using PlayIt, do not:
- Harass, threaten or abuse other players, including in chat.
- Cheat, automate play, or exploit bugs to gain an advantage.
- Attempt to access other players' accounts, games or hidden information such as their cards or board.
- Disrupt the service — flooding, scraping, or attacking the infrastructure.
- Use PlayIt for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules, and may do so without notice where the behaviour is harming other players.
Chat
Messages are passed between players in a room and are not stored, so we cannot retrieve or review past conversations. That also means we cannot investigate a report about something already said — block the player and stop the game if someone is behaving badly.
Availability
PlayIt is provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime. Games may be interrupted by maintenance, deploys or faults, and an interrupted game may end without a result. We do not promise your game history will be preserved.
Bots
Some opponents are computer players. This is always disclosed: matches you start against the computer are labelled, and when matchmaking cannot find a person it says so before the game begins.
Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in what you type or draw. You give us permission to transmit it to the other players in your game, which is the only thing we do with it.
Liability
PlayIt is a free service provided without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of it. Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted in the app, and the date above will change. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.
